Spring turkey is Apr 15 to May 31, the limit is two male turkey using shotgun or bow. Fall season is Sep 1 to Jan 1, limit is two either-sex turkey using shotgun, bow, rifle, handgun, crossbow, or airgun.

Follow I-90 to Miles City, Montana. Take exit #138 to get to motels and restaurants. The nearest airport is Billings (BIL) which is 147 miles, a 2.5 hour drive. Flights - Rental Cars - Motels
Long, recurve or compound bows, or shotguns 10 GA or smaller with full or extra full chokes are legal in spring. Rifle, handgun, crossbow, and certain Airguns are legal in fall. See the Regulations.
Derek pre-scouts the private ranches, he knows roost areas and feeding zones. Calling, running and gunning, spotting and stalking, and using blinds at travel or feeding zones can all be effective.
Derek will skin, clean, and package your meat. Montana law requires breasts, thighs, and wings to be kept. You can donate meat if desired. There is a local taxidermist or birds can be frozen for transport.
These turkey hunts are suitable for most anyone, various hunting methods are used, even hunters with physical limitations can be accomodated, your guide Derek will modify the hunt as needed.
When it rains mud can get bad and many roads are innaccessible but if it's not a downpour we can hike into some areas from main roads and hunting can be good. Check the Weather before leaving.
Hunters must provide their lodging, restaurant meals, license and tag fees, gratuities for the guide, travel costs before and after the hunt, taxidermy, shipping, and anything not listed as included.
After getting your bird(s) you may want to go prairie dog shooting, This area has some of the best prairie dog shooting available. Turkey hunters can add on prairie dog shooting for $550 a day.
After your turkey hunt you may want to go fishing before leaving Montana. We aren't licensed Montana fishing guides so we can't take you fishing, but we can advise good places to go fishing.
