Coyote Hunting Is Available Most Anytime
Coyote Hunting Info
Bearpaw Outfitters
offer guided and unguided coyote hunts and
coyote hunting information for numerous areas in
Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Washington. Coyotes
can be hunted year around in all four states and
they can be hunted in combination with other
species which may be in season. Bearpaw Outfitters know the
best hotspots for hunting Coyotes and they also
lease thousands of acres of the best private
ranches for their hunts. Any necessary licenses are sold over
the counter, hunters of any age can buy
licenses in Washington.
Best
Time
Coyote Hunting is
good most anytime of the year, but late spring,
early summer, and mid-winter can be especially
good.
Trophy Quality
Coyote hides are
prime from mid-October until February. If you
don't plan on saving the hide it doesn't matter
when you hunt.
Hunting Methods
Coyote calling
and visiting areas where we commonly see coyotes
are the most effective hunting methods. Bearpaw
Outfitters spend so much time in the hunting areas; they
know the areas that coyotes frequent. Thats the real secret to high success
rates.
Shot
Opportunity
Shot opportunity on guided
coyote hunts is usually 50% to 100%. Unguided hunts
could range anywhere from 0% to 100%. Shooting
distances can vary from 5 yards to 300 yards.
Sight your rifle dead on at 200 yards.
Licenses
Hunters
of any age can purchase any necessary licenses
over the counter. Youth hunters are half price
(even non-residents) in Idaho and Washington.
First time hunters can get an exception from
Hunter Ed to purchase licenses in Washington the
first time. Most other hunters will need Hunter
Ed to hunt in all states where we hunt coyotes.
Coyote Seasons
Coyotes can be
hunted year around, we have no closed season.
