reliable 4x4 hunting transportation and optics to guide hunters in
Southeast Idaho

Apprentice Guide/Wrangler/Camp Jack
Job
Description:
Experienced hunter
with reliable 4x4 transportation who would like to learn
to be a guide while you work. Successful applicant must be willing to spend
time learning and doing the many different odd
jobs necessary to keep an outfitting
business going. This may include setting camps,
wrangler work, cooking, accompanying experienced
guides, cutting firewood, skinning game, packing
meat, or many other odd jobs. As abilities improve and its
determined that you are capable of guiding, you will be
transitioned into
more of a guide than an apprentice.
Successful applicant will need to be First Aid
and CPR certified and meet requirements for

General Employment Info
Successful applicants Must Be: Honest,
mature, dependable, self motivated, clean and presentable,
drug free, non-alcoholic, enjoy
people, be a knowledgeable and experienced hunter, and
should have no wildlife violations.
Successful applicants must attend First Aid and
CPR class if not already certified. Guides must
learn the hunting
areas and learn the habits of local game
herds before you can be licensed and guide hunters.
Lodging and meals are provided at our hunting locations
during the hunts so you will have minimal living expenses. Guide school is a
definite plus but not an absolute necessity.
Most previous employees have
other occupations and work for Bearpaw
Outfitters anywhere from one week to three
months each year. Folks of all ages have proven
to be valuable assets to the operation. What's
important is that you are friendly and
professional with the hunters, perform the many
requirements of the job, and represent Bearpaw
Outfitters well.
Compensation
$100
per Day which includes $68.40 for Wages and $31.60 for
Vehicle and Gear. Its common to work 20 or more days per month during
a busy season. Your performance will determine longevity
and wage increases.
