Idaho Hunting Guide
Bearpaw Outfitters need an experienced and
successful elk and mule deer hunter with
reliable 4x4 hunting transportation who would
like to guide hunters in our southeast Idaho
area. It will be a plus if you live in the
southeast Idaho or northern Utah area, but it's
not a requirement.
You will start at $100 per hunt day ($70 for
wages and $30 for your vehicle and gear). We try
to schedule 15 to 20 hunt days per month during
the seasons. Your performance and longevity will

Montana Hunting Guide
Bearpaw Outfitters need an experienced and
successful elk and mule deer hunter with

like to guide hunters in our central and eastern
Montana hunting
area. It will be a plus if you live in the
Central or Eastern Montana area, but it's not a
requirement.
You will start at $100 per hunt day ($70 for

Apprentice Guide/Wrangler/Camp Jack
Bearpaw Outfitters needs an experienced hunter
with reliable 4x4 transportation who would like to learn to be a guide so they
can eventually guide hunters in our hunting areas.
This is a learn while you work position and
successful applicant must be willing to spend
time learning many different things important to
the job and do all
the odd jobs necessary to help keep an outfitting
business going. This may include setting camps,
wrangler work, cooking, accompanying experienced
guides, cutting firewood, skinning game, packing
meat, etc. As your abilities improve and it is
determined that you are capable of guiding we
will try to get you licensed and you will be moved into
being more of a guide than an apprentice.
You will start at $1300 per month. Your
performance and longevity will dictate wage increases.

General Employment Info
Successful Applicants Must Be: Honest,
mature, dependable, self motivated, clean and presentable,
drug free, non-alcoholic, must enjoy
people, be knowledgeable and experienced
big game hunters, and must have little or
no wildlife violations.
Successful Applicants will need to attend a 1 day
first aid class and spend time in the hunting
areas learning the habits of our local game
before you can actually guide hunters. You will
be required to stay at our hunting locations
during the hunts so you will have minimal living expenses. Guide school is a plus but not necessary.
FYI - Most of our guides and employees have
other occupations and work anywhere from only a week
up to three months each year. We also have had retired people who fit in
well, and we have had younger guys who are a
real asset to the operation. As you can see, the
most important thing to BearPaw Outfitters is that you can get the job
done.

experiences, the number of years you have been
hunting various species and your successes,
personal character references, work history,
work references, your goals in the outdoor
industry and your job expectations.
